NOW PLAYING REVIEWS: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Frozen II, 21 Bridges

Want to know what we recommend seeing that opened this 11-22-2019 weekend #47 at the movies? All wide releases were seen, rated and reviewed with links on the movie titles below.

This weekend #1 is …

Knives Out ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

… which you can see advanced screening and should, but our wide release favorite this weekend is …

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood ⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Enjoyed this. Only wish was it would have had the main narrative be on Mister Rogers because, after all, it was portrayed as a movie about Fred Rogers but Tom Hanks is brilliant.

Frozen II ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A little too earthy and more complicated for children (and some adults lol) story compared to the first. The songs, which were a huge strength for the first one, are not as good here either.

Frozen II doesn’t have the warmth and friendliness and music of the original

There are worse movies that you could take your children to go see.

21 Bridges ⭐️½

Read and/or watch the review, but can’t say much good about this one. Ok, maybe the last 21 minutes or so are … OK.

21 Bridges to the exit … I was hoping!

Want to see what else we recommend NOW PLAYING at the theater?

Here are other movies we’ve seen at the theater recently (maybe they are available in your area still) that are recommended. Any movie we rate at least 3-stars is recommended. You should read any 3-star review (click the title), because sometimes we do qualify those recommendations, meaning we were entertained, but it doesn’t mean that it was necessarily that good. 4-star movies are highly recommended and films we rate as 4 1/2 or 5 stars are must see.
