FIRST LOOK: Tom and Jerry (2021)

Another day and date release in both theaters and on HBO Max is coming featuring animated characters from the past.

I rarely watched Tom and Jerry, so don’t know that much about the history of the cartoon.

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him, in director Tim Story’s “Tom & Jerry.” The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them.

Everything You Need to Know About Tom and Jerry Movie (2021)

These animated and live action blended movies are a mixed bag. Sometimes they are good, often they are mediocre. How will this be? The trailer looks promising.

    1. What was the last live action with animation movie you’ve enjoyed? I keep thinking about Bill Murray as the voice of Garfield, but those movies were underwhelming. The Muppets movies(?) Space Jam? Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

  1. Wow! I loved Tom and Jerry as a child! Watched it all the time. But not sure as a live action movie? Those don’t seem to go over Lion King So probably won’t watch and just keep the fond memories.

  2. Yeah Tom and Jerry should be pretty fun. I actually liked the previous movies they came out with although they tend to get pretty mixed reactions. As long as we get some good back and forth with the two leads I think we’ll be in a good spot
