How Many Of Netflix Top 10 Most Watched Original Movies Have you Watched?

I’ve seen 7 of the 10 most watched movies on Netflix. We’ll get to the list after the quoted source along with links to reviews.

Netflix has been equally candid about its original movies in recent months, sharing its ten most popular films to date back in July. Three months later, dozens more original movies have debuted on the streaming service, and according to recent social media posts by the company, some of them have cracked the top 10.

Netflix reveals its 10 most-watched original movies of all time – BGR

The top 10 most watched original Netflix movies as of October 2020 (bolded are titles I’ve not watched yet):

10. The Irishman ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
9. The Kissing Booth 2 ⭐️⭐️½
8. Project Power ⭐️⭐️⭐️
7. Enola Holmes ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
6. The Old Guard ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
5. Murder Mystery ⭐️⭐️½
4. 6 Underground (see: My non-review review of 6 Underground – unwatchable)
3. Spenser Confidential
2. Bird Box
1. Extraction ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not sure why I haven’t watched Bird Box yet. Spenser Confidential just missed me somehow. Will not likely try to watch 6 Underground again, so that’s my story on the top 10. My most favorite movie on the list is #10: The Irishman, it was too long but boy was it good, particularly the last third.

How many of these movies have you seen? Which, if any, do you still want to see?

      1. I skipped that one too. Seemed to make a big impression but seemed similar to A Quiet Place. I don’t think I’ve even heard of Project Power…and in passing, was writing today that although the BAFTA race has started, I’m not sure that an awards season is required right now, since the only people getting their movies out are streaming services…

      2. On the awards, not sure there will be any Oscars in 2021. I know they delayed it, but my guess is they wait until 2022 and lump 2020 and 2021 together. We’ll see…

Project Power is a superhero film of sorts on Netflix. You take this pill, for 5 minutes you get a random super power or you die. My non-spoiler review here: https://letterboxd.com/tjsnk/film/project-power-2020/ — it’s not great, but made the bar to recommend to others.

      3. Re awards, that seems logical to me, but doesn’t presently seem to be the strategy; as an awards voter, I’m getting notices of London screening room shows, but they’re all for Netflix or tiny indies.

Will check out your Project power review, thanks!
