Have you watched Cobra Kai [FIRST LOOK] on Netflix yet?
If you like the original Karate Kid movie, it’s about as good as you can get without Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) in the cast. I mean, Johnny Lawrence and Daniel Larusso 34 years later still having a grudge? We’ve now seen the first two seasons and, yes, we definitely recommend binging this ASAP.
Video games based on movies and TV shows are usually garbage, but this one looks like and old school 2D brawler and seems to be following the TV show first two seasons pretty closely from the trailer below.
Titled ‘Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues’, the game is a side-scrolling brawler based on the show (which launched on Netflix recently, having previously been available on YouTube), featuring RPG-style progression, 2-player co-op, and a cast of characters from the excellent Cobra Kai TV series.

I don’t play many videogames, but I’ve always like 2D fighters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game was a 4-player 2D fighter and I plunked more than a few quarters into that.
The company Arcade 1UP has been making some awesome 3/4 size arcade cabinets and selling through retailers like Best Buy and Amazon for $450. Some come with special game stools for another $80. There are included risers that make it full size as well. Assembly is required but it sounds like it’s not too intense, taking a couple hours to put together.

The TMNT cabinet looks just like the arcade. You can quickly find these for purchase by searching for Arcade1UP at BestBuy.com, Amazon and other retailers.
Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues will be available for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2020.
