Wolverine Hugh Jackman turned down role in Cats – for scheduling conflicts

Cats ½ – Unwatchable

Let’s be honest, Hugh Jackman, the Wolverine dodged a silver-tipped, manure-dipped, bullet.

Since he had a metallic exoskeleton, the bullet would have just ricocheted.

Famed for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could have been another star singing (perhaps very badly) and dancing around in very overt sexual tones in the abysmal Cats movie.

Director Tom Hooper “rang me early on because we did ‘Les Mis’ together, and there were a couple of options there based on availability and time, and I really…yeah, I just wasn’t available at the time,” Jackman explained to The Daily Beast.

Here’s the reason why Hugh Jackman turned down ‘Cats’ – New York Daily News

Then again, he probably could have just laughed it all off. It’s not like it was a career ending movie for anybody.

Speaking of Jackman, I’m trying to think of what he’s been in lately besides the X-men character? Looking over his filmography at Wikipedia. I missed him last year in Bad Education, although that movie looks interesting. I also didn’t catch his performance as P.T Barnum in The Greatest Showman, but would like to. Anybody seen either of these two movies and can recommend one or both?
