Sonic The Hedgehog ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Rock as the Sonic’s fiery red compadre Knuckles in a rumored sequel? Maybe.
How Knuckles would factor into Sonic the Hedgehog 2 isn’t entirely clear just yet, but having a mega star like Dwayne Johnson bring him to life would no doubt give the sequel a huge boost at the box office and just the very fact that The Rock is interested certainly bodes well for the franchise’s future.
Dwayne Johnson Reportedly In Talks To Play Knuckles In Sonic The Hedgehog 2
If The Rock plays Knuckles — and yes, it’s just rumors (the sequel and Knuckles), so no guarantees — who will play Tails? You can’t have Knuckle and Sonic without Tails, can you?
While Tails was a young, male fox, something tells (scares!) me Hollywood will want to rebrand him as a female and make him Sonic’s girlfriend instead of best buddy. They could also make him gay, since that seems to be all the rage these days in movies. I probably shouldn’t speculate and give anybody ideas, but you can’t have Knuckles appear without Tails because Tails was the second character to appear in the videogame.
Sonic is still #1 at the box office in week #2, with CGI Buck from The Call of the Wild not quite able to keep up with the frenzied pace:
While Sonic had the best start for a video game movie, it still has a lot of work to do to catch up with other video game adaptations. Warcraft is the highest grossing video game movie of all time globally, with more than $439 million at the box office, while Pokemon: Detective Pikachu trails just below with $433 million.
Following Its Record-Breaking Start, The Sonic Movie Has Crossed A New Box Office Milestone
If any videogame character movie has the legs to best Warcraft (I haven’t seen), Sonic could be the one, but it’s only about halfway there.
Remember Jumanji: The Next Level ⭐️½? Wasn’t our cup of quarters, but others are still loving it, 11 weeks later.

It’s still chugging out there and will pass the $800 million mark, especially if they keep it on thousands of screens. After 11 weeks, talk about legs!
It’s early speculation, but we shouldn’t count out Sonic for becoming the #1 videogame movie of all time.
Oh man, a Dwayne the Rock Knuckles would be something else. Totally hope it happens haha.

I’m a Rock fan. You are right that he’d be pretty funny as Knuckles! I like the casting idea. Hope they get it done.
