Episode 10 – “Bensonhurst”
Similar to Episode 4 “Being Harley Quinn” it’s time for Harley to go home, look into her past and background and why she struggles with her relationships. Complete with a mini Dr. Harley Quinzell speaking to herself.
Harley family starts in style setup like an 80s sitcom (and it would have been hilarious if they actually structured the entire episode this way – huge missed opportunity).
Meanwhile, there has been a contracted hit on Poison Ivy, she’s captured and about to be “harvested” unless she is rescued.
Ivy reaches out through her plant network and asks for Harley to come and save her. Tune into find out more about Harley’s parents, her background and whether or not she rescues Ivy.
Summary
This could have been one of the funniest episodes if more had been done with the 80s sitcom-like TV angle and more drama around Ivy’s capture (think Goldfinger with Bond strapped to table and laser about to cut him in half). I was thinking it would maybe spoof a show like Married with Children with Harley as as the Christina Applegate character. Instead, it was just a short title gag with a pretty boring family and huge overall missed comedic opportunity.
Bane gets a few good lines (he’s becoming a more standout supporting character), Frank The Plant and his stoner pot carrying guy have a small subplot, but it all just comes out flat. It’s setup for a cool ending but even that is underwhelming. Weakest episode of the season so far.

I did a bit of math, and according to my results the quality of the episodes are decreasing substantially.
The only two that aren’t apart of the system is the bad 3rd episode and The good 7th episode.
